They have no reason to go through your tax files. They really only care about what other programs you're running. I believe it only reads data on the drive that the game is installed to, so if you're like me and you have a data drive and a system drive, just put the game on the system drive. if i am too use bio-ware and EA products i will put it on a blank PC that has nothing else on it.Īctually, Origin's privacy policy isn't any worse than PunkBuster, which has been around for years without much complaint. This is why I'm so egger for people not too use origins.īut if you have no sensitive data on your machine there is no harm in using Origins. Some say steam does the same but when i ran a trace on steam it only searches your game directory too see what games you have installed, it also has a config file of your system configuration (hardware specs) but it does not go any further then that. ![]() so I completely quarantined the program and then deleted it. When i traced Origin's it did exactly the same, but way more intrusive then Punk Buster, it was scanning, IE browser history's, Cookies, saved passwords, all my notepad documents which contain sensitive information. ![]() EA have re-written there Privacy Policy since origins has come out, but they haven't changed the product at all so nothings changed, I've always known punk buster too scan your drive, I've traced it's search's which is why i quarantined it too 1 section only with the game in it. ![]()
